How Raya Works
To use Raya, you first install Raya.Manager on your computer. Inside the Manager, you install the latest Engine — the core runtime that powers all of Raya’s capabilities.
Once installed, you can add plugins of your choice. Raya can:
- Control your computer locally (launch apps, manage windows, execute commands).
- Extend with plugins that integrate securely with online services.
- Respond to voice commands for hands-free productivity.
By default, Raya manages only your local computer. To interact with your online accounts, you install plugins and connect them via OAuth 2.0.
Plugins & Integrations
Plugins are extensions that connect Raya to third-party services. Each plugin requires your explicit authorization via OAuth 2.0. Raya never sees your password — only secure tokens issued by the provider.
📧 Gmail Plugin
With the Gmail plugin, Raya can send emails on your behalf when you give a voice command like “Send an email to Alex saying I’ll be late.”
Scopes used:
.../auth/userinfo.email— See your primary Google Account email address..../auth/gmail.send— Send email on your behalf.
📅 Google Calendar Plugin
With the Calendar plugin, Raya can create and read events directly from your calendar with voice commands like “Schedule a meeting with Sarah tomorrow at 10am.”
Scopes used:
.../auth/calendar.readonly— See and download calendars you have access to..../auth/calendar.events— View and edit events on your calendars..../auth/calendar.calendars.readonly— View calendar titles, descriptions, and properties.
🎥 Google Meet Plugin
With the Meet plugin, Raya can create new online meetings by voice command, for example: “Create a Google Meet conference now.”
Scopes used:
.../auth/meetings.space.created— Create, edit, and view Google Meet conferences created by Raya.
Security & Transparency
All integrations use OAuth 2.0, which means:
- You explicitly review and approve permissions (scopes) when connecting a plugin.
- Raya receives only tokens — never your Google password.
- You can revoke access anytime in your Google Account settings.
- Raya performs actions only within the scopes you approved, and only in response to your commands.
Purpose of Raya
The purpose of Raya is to simplify daily workflows by unifying local automation (your computer) with cloud integrations (via plugins). Raya does not use your data for advertising or resale — it acts only on your instructions to save you time and boost productivity.
